What better day to announce Dr. Bill’s new CEO than International Women’s Day?
Sarah Wilkinson was appointed to the CEO role on February 28, 2022. She will report to Vik Luthra, outgoing CEO of Dr. Bill, and new COO of RBC Ventures.
“As COO and Head of Revenue at Dr. Bill for the past two years, Sarah has already played an instrumental role in making Dr. Bill the success it is today,” Vik said. “She is passionate about making billing faster and easier for physicians so they can focus not on paperwork, but on patient care.”
Sarah leads our growing team of 59 at Dr. Bill in supporting the medical billing needs of more than 3,000 doctors.
“I am excited to continue building the best medical billing service in Canada,” she said. “Canada’s physicians are at great risk of burnout—and we must care for our carers. Dr. Bill can help by significantly reducing the burden of billing to give doctors more time for their patients, practice and personal lives.”
The fact that her appointment aligned so closely to the timing of International Women’s Day was not lost on Sarah:
“The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is #breakthebias, which is something I have always aimed to do. Early in my career, I encountered technology spaces with so few women that there weren’t even designated bathrooms for us. Today I am proud to be a woman leading a healthcare technology company with a 50/50 ratio of women to men on the Senior Management Team and an overall workforce that is 46 percent women.”
The Dr. Bill team is so excited to welcome Sarah as our new CEO. Congratulations, Sarah!
