As per the updated Physician Services Agreement (PSA), a new virtual care funding framework takes effect on December 1, 2022. However, the Schedule of Benefits has already been updated, giving physicians an advance opportunity to get familiar with the upcoming changes.

To review the new framework and rules, see the section titled “Virtual Care Services” beginning on page A64. Also effective December 1, 2022, video visits delivered through the Ontario Virtual Care Program (OVCP) will be transitioned into the OHIP insured framework as per the pricing structure, rates and payment parameters outlined in the PSA.

Temporary K-Codes

The temporary virtual care K-Codes (K080, K081, K082, K083, K092, K093, K094, K095) will remain in place until November 30, 2022.
